The HIKR system board for under 150 pounds is designated as a way to help caregivers better select a size for the patient. This board is designed for the elderly frail, thin population. It also serves the young population down to approximately 18 months of age.

The hidden restraints do not have to be used . They are however, easily loaded if needed at the front and back sections of the flat part of the board.

The rigid board with fixed angle prevents the patient from pulling out the back of the board and traumatically removing the IV. The board allows free motion of the hand and fingers when used in the elbow placement format.
